2016, digital print, typography exploration
3D Font Desires is a text-based, ongoing series that uses language as its subject matter. By marrying graphic design with typography, the artist creates a series of "simple words" that explore the underpinnings of daily life and its taboos. Constructed out of modular geometric shapes, words like puta, beso, amor and sexo, weigh heavily on the picture plane, and in our minds, to emphasize the unspoken. Bold and bright, each word becomes an object that portrays cravings that people are too ashamed or scared to express.
